This rug is from our Gul Bahar line. Gul Bahar, meaning spring flower, is a line of rugs intended to celebrate the unplanned and eccentric sprit of tribal weaving originating from southwestern Iran. In the past, this gabbeh style of rug was always created spontaneously by weavers as they wove, their looms often being outside of their tents in the yayla (mountain pastures) that are their home. This rug was woven by Turkmen weavers in northern Afghanistan with all natural dyes.
